I had an awesome time preaching on Sunday! I was so stressed out last week getting ready for this message I barely slept! Haha
Here's a quick review of the message a preached on Sunday.
The core or foundation of christian biblical worship is made up of two parts. The first part is what is worship? The answer is worship is to ascribe worth to something. The second answers who do you worship? The answer is the God of the Bible. The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Isaiah, Peter, Paul, and John.
If I were to add anything to help bring clarity to this weeks message I would want to clarify this: as we worship God we ask for his grace and help to worship in spirit and truth. We don't worship off of our own strength we worship by His strength. The truth is revealed in our hearts and minds, which He reveals, and as we respond in valuing what he said, which is worship, He also gives us the strength to be who God has called us to be.
And it's from this place that all the expressions of worship come from, and it's from a place of grace that we worship.
